Our Library's Rich History
From our humble beginnings in 2006, our library has grown into a vibrant hub of learning, innovation, and community connection. Join us as we look back at our remarkable journey.

Our Foundation
Established in 2006, our library started with a modest collection of 1,000 books in a small facility within General Trias City, driven by the vision of local government leaders.
Since then, we've grown to become a vital educational hub, fostering learning through various programs, digital resources, and community initiatives that continue to enrich our city's cultural landscape.
Key Milestones
Inauguration and Founding Year of General Trias City Library
Founded by the Local Government Officials of General Trias City. Inaugurated on April 17, 2006.
Model Municipal Library
Received the special citation for implementing Best Practices on Environment Management as "Model Municipal Library" last September 17, 2007 at the Provincial Capitol, Trece Martirez City.
Acquisition of Computer Sets and Internet
Expanded its resources by acquiring six complete computer sets with internet connection and free wi-fi access.
PRC Board for Librarians and Affiliation with the National Library of the Philippines
On February 22, 2012, the library passed the evaluation conducted by the PRC Board for Librarians. Followed by affiliation with the National Library of the Philippines on June 13, 2012.
Ongoing provision of Information and Services
The Public City Library of General Trias continuing providing essential information sources, offering a range of services such as easy computer access, books/materials for obtaining informations, and free wi-fi access to its community.
